Arlene Anderson brings a wealth of experience and dedication to her role as a Trainer with the Office of the Public Defender in Maricopa County, Arizona. After a successful career in corporate America and raising a family, Arlene followed her passion for criminology, earning her Bachelor of Science in Criminology and Criminal Justice, Magna Cum Laude from Arizona State University. Currently pursuing her Master’s Degree in Criminology and Criminal Justice at ASU, Arlene continues to expand her expertise in the field.
With a background as a Business Analyst, Arlene possesses a keen analytical mind and a talent for translating complex data into actionable insights. Her ability to collaborate effectively with software engineers and present her findings to stakeholders and business partners has been instrumental in driving organizational success. Arlene’s exceptional skills and leadership were recognized, resulting in her recruitment to establish and train a First Notice of Loss team, where she not only developed comprehensive training materials but also contributed to the creation of Standard Operating Procedures for new agents.
Outside of her professional endeavors, Arlene is deeply committed to community engagement and volunteerism. Serving as the co-leader of the Women’s Professional Network, she spearheaded initiatives to coordinate volunteer opportunities and organized a successful golf fundraiser with a major resort to benefit a local women’s resource center, rallying dozens of employees to volunteer their time and support. Arlene’s constant passion for learning and teaching can be seen in every position she has held. Her warmth and approachability garner trust to help develop an authentic environment.
